From Inner Worlds To Outer Space: Louisiana Museum Of Modern Art

Jan 4, 2019

The moon, one of the great themes of the culture, has become closer to us now. While humanity landed a vehicle on the far side of the moon for the first time in history, in Denmark, Louisiana Museum of Modern Art presents The Moon, a comprehensive cross-aesthetic exhibition which consists of more than 200 works.

As a leading international museum of modern art, Louisiana Museum of Modern Art locates on the coast that strikes the rarest of balances between landscape, architecture, and art in an unique interaction. The museum was designed by Vilhelm Wohlert, an iconic Danish designer. In 2018, to celebrate the museum’s 60th anniversary, Stellar Works relaunched the Louisiana Chair and Louisiana Lamp, designed by the museum architect Vilhelm Wohlert.

Originally designed to complement Wohlert’s architectural work on the museum in 1958, the Louisiana Chair and Louisiana Lamp are simple, classic, balanced and beautifully unadorned. The chairs and the lamps are used in Louisiana Café and selectively in the exhibition rooms. Each piece showcases the designer’s less-is-more ethos and talent for turning the structural into the sculptural.
