A CONTEMPORARY APATMENT IN TOKYO DESIGNED BY OEO STUDIO

A sense of modernism and serenity springs to mind when entering Opus Arisugawa Terrace & Residence, a contemporary apartment recently renovated by Copenhagen-based OEO Studio. Situated beside a lush green park in the centre of Tokyo, the residential project showcases a delicate blend of Japanese and Scandinavian design elements.

Drawing on inspiration from both Japanese and Nordic cultures, OEO Studio has distilled the similarities and intrinsic differences between both influences, reinterpreting a “Japandi” style that results in a quality-conscious home with a modern touch of minimalism.

A curated selection of furniture adds a sophisticated layer to the space, while paying tribute to exquisite craftsmanship. Focusing on tactile, textured, and understated elements, OEO Studio has created a warm minimalist ambience for the interior. Stellar Works’s Ming, Blink & Taylor collections - all feature in the apartment, creating a simple, elegant, and timeless aesthetic.

Thomas Lykke, Head of Design & Founding Partner of OEO Studio says:

"The interiors reflect a cross-pollination of Japanese and Scandinavian design, drawing on inspiration from both cultures and reinterpreting them in new ways to create a discerning and quality - conscious residential home for a Japanese clientele that combines the comfort of the familiar with a Nordic touch”.
